  • Containers & Composting
    • Farm To Fork is committed to tread lightly on the planet & be ever mindful of our environmental responsibilities.  We give all our food scraps to local farm animals. (they are so happy!) Our packaging is made from plants, uses vegetable or water based inks, & is 100%  compostable in a commercial facility.  We are blessed to have a commercial compost facility in Columbia Falls, Dirt Rich.  Please bring your packaging to Farm To Fork & we will make sure it gets to Dirt Rich or contact Dirt Rich about compost pick up in your neighborhood.
    • Environmentally, the planet’s ecological systems are being irreparably destroyed due to human activities.  The average person generates over 4 pounds of trash every day.
    • Together, food and packaging/containers account for almost 45% of the materials landfilled in the United States. Using compostable packaging is a means to creating a more circular economy — it has the ability to break down into soil, making it a more sustainable alternative to traditional plastic and polystyrene disposables.

Why Vegan?

Eating vegan meets many current healthy eating recommendations such as eating more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and consuming less cholesterol and saturated fat. Balanced vegan diets are often rich in vitamins, antioxidants and fiber and can decrease the chances of suffering from diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke and some cancers.

Switching to a plant-based diet is a more sustainable & environmentally conscience way to eat. Vegan diets can produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions than meat-based diets. Plant-based diets only require around one third of the land and water needed to produce a typical Western diet. Farmed animals consume much more protein, water and calories than they produce, so far greater quantities of crops and water are needed to produce animal ‘products’ to feed humans.  Farming animals and growing their feed also contributes to other environmental problems such as deforestation, water pollution and land degradation.

Eating plant based is DELICIOUS!  Traditional meals are transformed into the delicious vegan favorites we crave today.
